Here's a response I got from TC regarding the VIN# flashing.

I can't change a VIN number I can only write one. If the VIN is missing or gets wiped out during a reflash, then I can put any VIN in that I want. If there is a VIN already in memory, I can't erase it and write another one.
If you live in a state with annual inspection, you might want to swap in the stock ECU. I've heard some state's inspection just do OBD2 scans and upload the readiness test and VIN# to the DMV server. This might cause a problem if the VIN# doesn't match what they have on file.

Fortunately, Indiana doesn't do an annual inspection. It would have been nice if I could get rid of my AEM FIC completely.

I've sent my ECU to the NGM shop a few days ago, i hope to get it back soon and that it will work, this time.

just keep checking up on it to see where hes at. i guess that might be the only way to get it back sooner to you is if you push him a lil by keep asking him for updates.
